Extra Innings, the YMCA After School Care program, is designed to provide a safe environment for school age children while providing what kids need developmentally to become successful young adults.

The Greenville YMCA after school care program currently services all SSISD Elementary Schools. The YMCA curriculum focuses on the following subject areas: fitness and wellness, literacy, science and technology, homework, character development, social competency, conflict resolution, “Good News Club” Christian-based program, and arts and humanities.

  • FREE TRANSPORTATION from LP Waters to Lamar Elementary via GISD transportation

  • We keep a MAXIMUM RATIO OF 20 CHILDREN TO 1 STAFF MEMBER

  • Each participating child receives a FREE HEALTHY AFTER SCHOOL SNACK (per the USDA Food Program Guidelines)

  • INCENTIVE PROGRAMS for good behavior.

  • EARLY RELEASE DAYS ARE INCLUDED IN THE WEEKLY PRICE

  • OUR PROGRAM IS LICENSED AND INSPECTED by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.

  • OUR STAFF IS TRAINED in CPR and First Aid, as well as, positive discipline, conflict resolution, child development, and age appropriate activities.



Ages: 4 and 5 years

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday (school dismissal until 6:00 pm)

Program Fees:

YMCA Members: $45.00 per child per week

Registration Fee: $25.00 for one child, $45 for two ore more children
